Extracts of press

Le Monde , the 16th of march 2006, by Marie-Christine Vernay

The writing is also revealed as the result of an expertise acquired over the years, since the choreographer and Mathilde Altaraz, his partner, joined forces in 1970 to champion a form of dance that cared little for convention and already enjoyed telling stories without turning them into a novel....All the old trademarks come joyfully together in this show, which is a sheer delight to behold.

Le Figaro , the 17th of march 2006, by Isabelle Danto

Gallotta is pursuing his research into the dancer’s presence and explodes a taboo attached to dance by using all types of bodies, even those of older people.

La Croix
, the 23th of march 2006, by Sophie Lesort

With Des gens qui dansent, the last part of a triptych on memory and the generations, Gallotta has produced a lovely piece without artifice, with men and women of all ages journeying through their memories. Moving, joyful and poetic, this latest opus talks, quite simply, of life.

L’Humanité , the 27th of march 2006, by Muriel Steinmetz

Jean-Claude Gallotta has created Des gens qui dansent, the third part of a trilogy begun in 2002 with 99 duos and followed in 2004 with Trois Générations. It’s a great success.
