The workshop will begin with a short group warm-up to help everyone feel that they are part of the group. Then a few steps from the repertoire of Jean-Claude Gallotta’s Company will be taught. Finally, using a short existing scenario, participants, guided by the choreographer, will be asked to invent a sequence in pairs, which they will then perform to the group in turn.

During the CND’s opening weekend, members of the public are invited to come and dance in “discovery workshops”. Jean-Claude Gallotta will be offering trainees a chance to learn a few steps from his repertoire and to create a dance sequence from a short scenario.
